Introducing Performance Solutions by Science in Sport

Science in Sport is today launching Performance Solutions, a ground-breaking sports research and nutrition service designed to elevate elite teams and athletes to the next level of performance.

The world-first service will see experts from SiS’s Performance Solutions team embedded in the performance staff of Team INEOS Cycling, INEOS TEAM UK, British swimmer Adam Peaty and the England Women’s Football Teams to undertake cutting-edge research and deliver bespoke solutions to improve their performances.

Performance Solutions delivers a personalised approach, combining world-class sports nutrition research with custom strategies tailored to meet the unique needs of individual athletes.

The service is led by SiS nutritionists who work hands-on with partners like the England Women’s Football Teams, Adam Peaty, Team INEOS Cycling, and INEOS TEAM UK, embedding directly within their performance teams to provide seamless, sport-specific support.

Performance Solutions has partnered with Liverpool John Moores University, one of the world’s top sports science institutions, giving the SiS team access to cutting-edge labs and expert academics to support research and develop tailored performance strategies for its partners.

The collaboration will also fuel product innovation across SiS, driven by in-depth testing and scientific research.

Professor James Morton, a leading expert in Exercise Metabolism at Liverpool John Moores University, is leading Science in Sport’s new service as Director of Performance Solutions.

“We’re introducing a fresh model and mindset for delivering high-performance sports nutrition,” says Morton, who brings over a decade of experience with elite teams like Team Sky and Liverpool FC. “Our Performance Solutions framework helps sports teams identify key performance drivers, set priorities, and implement strategies that lead to winning outcomes.”
